Thank you for a great summer school! Thank you for giving part of your summer to help teach students!
From checking in with a student on the playground and at breakfast, washing tables at lunch, passing out milk during lunch, helping someone make copies and prepare materials, supervising on the playground, welcoming students, small group intervention assistance, and of course teaching. Everybody pitched in to help make summer school successful, and to do what's best for students.
Enjoy the rest of the summer break with your friends and family.

It's the last day of Title 1 Summer School! Here is a checklist of items as we go through the day:
1. Any school supplies that can be reused next year can go in my office. I'll be spending the next week sorting everything, so just find a spot to put things in my office.
2. One table in front of the office will be for collecting the math and reading intervention kits.
3. One table in front of the office will be for collecting the large clear Investigations math kits that have the manipulatives.
4. The counter in the office has labels all ready to go for each of the seven schools. Please put the school copy of each student's report card in the correct pile, and we'll help you alphabetize by grade level. We can help you look up the home school if you aren't sure. One copy of the report card also needs to go home with each student. If a student isn't at school on Wednesday, simply fold and address to the parent/guardian of the student. We can then send them on to the home school to give to the student.
5. Please check the two refrigerators in the staff room for any food that might be yours. I'll be doing a deep clean after lunch.
6. Last recess will be from 1:45-2:15. Second grade is the regular time of 2-2:15. because they are at block.
7. The goal is to leave the classrooms so that the regular classroom teacher walks in and doesn't notice we were even there. Please let me know if we need to replace or fix anything.

We are down to the final three days!
Thank you for helping with Friday fun and the sno-cones. The extra help made passing them out go by quickly.
You can turn your time card in to the office whenever you are ready. I'd like to take those to the district office on Tuesday. Email me if you have any questions about your hours. If you have never missed a day your total hours should equal 133.
There are no attendance prizes this week, so no attendance tickets.
We have left over crushed ice, and popsicles. Feel free to use, first come first served.

The migrant students were so excited to see Abby visit on Thursday. Migrant summer school does start on Monday, but she asked the families to finish next week at Harrison first. She left a list of the students who would be attending. It's on the counter in the office, as well as the ESL summer school list. Feel free to look at the two lists to see if any of your students are listed.
Please remember to write comments on the report cards. We hear everyday in the office from parents and guardians how much their child loves summer school, especially their summer school teacher. Several families rearranged summer plans so their child could attend. We want the comments to be meaningful, because parents do read them.
On the last day next Wednesday we'll have the afternoon recess from 1:45-2:15. That will give you time to print any last report cards. Second grade will still have block, so they have their normal recess from 2-2:15.
Here is the agenda for Friday. I'm really hoping not to have thunder storms like last year.
1. Staff Social with treats during morning recess in the staff room.
2. K/1st Attendance Prizes 11 am in room #2. Older students during lunch in the lunchroom.
3. Friday Fun 1:15-2:15. We will have sno-cones. Please remind students that they don't need to come back in until they hear the third bell.
4. You can leave on Friday like you normally do during the school year, but after all the buses leave.
